Garfield Township Residential Community
Test Your Home For Radon Gases
At a recent Town Board meeting, township officials discussed a letter that was received from two concerned residents regarding radon levels in area homes. The letter informed officials that several homes in Garfield Township have been found to have radon levels above the "accepted" amount. The Board recommends that all residents be aware of the risk of radon gases. They also suggest that all homeowners test their residence for radon, which can be done with a simple test kit that is available for purchase at many local home improvement stores. For more information on radon gases and the potential health risks associated with it, please view the US EPA website and view their Citizens Guide to Protecting Yourself and Your Family from Radon.
