Garfield Township Fire and Police Protection

Fire protection in the township is provided by the Grand Traverse Metro Fire Department, which provides service to Garfield Township, East Bay Township, and Acme Township. Currently, one of four stations are located in the Township, and construction of another station on East Silver Lake Road will begin shortly. The majority of Metro Fire responses are in Garfield Township.  

Police protection is provided by the Grand Traverse County Sheriff. Five Community Police Officers are assigned to primary duty in Garfield Township.
